Welcome to Heatup! We built this app to help you find genuine sparks, real connections, and meaningful memories. But a great community doesn't happen by accident—it happens when everyone agrees to treat each other with kindness, respect, and authenticity.

These guidelines are our promise to you and your promise to us. Violating these rules can result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent banning—without a refund.

1. Be Authentic (Be the Real You)

Fake profiles kill the vibe for everyone. We want to meet you, not a fictional character.

• Use Recent Photos: Your main profile photo should clearly show your face. No heavily filtered, blurry, or decade-old photos that misrepresent how you look today.
• Honest Bio: Tell the truth about your age, location, and what you're looking for.
• One Account Only: You are allowed exactly one Heatup account. Duplicate profiles (for "testing" or "backup") will be deleted.
• No Impersonation: Do not pretend to be someone else—whether that's a celebrity, a friend, or a completely made-up person.

2. Respect Boundaries (No Means No)

Consent is not just for dates—it starts the moment you send your first message.

• Don't Push: If someone isn't responding, says they're busy, or politely declines your advances, stop. Unmatching or ghosting is a form of rejection; accept it gracefully.
• No Unsolicited Lewdness: Do not send sexually explicit messages, nude photos, or suggestive content to someone who hasn't explicitly asked for it. Starting a conversation with a sexual comment is harassment, not flirting.
• Respect Privacy: Never ask for personal contact details (home address, workplace, financial info) in a pushy or aggressive manner. If someone says "not yet," respect that.

3. Keep It Kind (Zero Tolerance for Hate)

Heatup is a safe space for people of all races, ethnicities, religions, gender identities, sexual orientations, and abilities.

• No Hate Speech: We do not tolerate language that attacks or demeans a person or group based on race, religion, disability, age, nationality, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
• No Bullying: Mocking, belittling, or ganging up on another user is strictly forbidden.
• No Threats: Any threat of violence, whether physical, sexual, or psychological, will result in an immediate and permanent ban.

4. Keep It Clean (Profile Content Rules)

Your profile is your first impression. Make it a good one.

What is NOT allowed in your photos or bio:

• Nudity, pornography, or sexually suggestive poses.
• Graphic violence, gore, or images depicting harm.
• Illegal drugs, weapons, or promoting illegal activity.
• Photos of children without a parent/guardian (and never as the primary profile photo).
• Phone numbers, social media handles, or external links (like OnlyFans) used to solicit followers or payments.
• Empty bios or bios that only say "just ask." Put a little effort in!

5. No Spam, Scams, or Commercial Activity

We are here for love, not for leads.

• No Promotions: Do not use Heatup to advertise your business, brand, or social media channels.
• No Money Requests: As stated in our Safety Tips, never ask other users for money, loans, gift cards, or investments. This is scamming, and we will ban you permanently.
• No Bot Activity: Using automated scripts, third-party software, or "swipe bots" to manipulate the app is prohibited.

6. Report, Don't Retaliate

If someone makes you feel unsafe or violates these guidelines:

• Do not engage. Arguing with a toxic user only drains your energy.
• Tap the Report button (the flag icon or three dots) on their profile or in the chat.
• Block the user to prevent further contact.

Our moderation team reviews all reports 24/7. When you report someone, you are helping protect the entire Heatup community. Thank you for that.

7. Consequences (What Happens if You Break the Rules)

We believe in second chances for minor mistakes, but we have zero tolerance for severe violations.

No refunds will be provided for accounts terminated due to guideline violations.

8. Safety First (Real-World Behavior)

While we can't police what happens offline, we expect you to carry the Heatup spirit into the real world.

• Meet in Public: Always plan first dates in busy, public locations.
• Tell a Friend: Share your location and date details with a trusted contact.
• Trust Your Gut: If a date feels wrong, leave. Your safety is more important than politeness.
• Never Pressure: Do not pressure anyone into meeting up, sharing intimate photos, or doing anything they're uncomfortable with.

9. Age Restriction (18+ Only)

Heatup is designed exclusively for adults aged 18 and over. If we discover an account belonging to someone under 18, it will be deleted immediately. If you see a profile that appears to belong to a minor, please report it to us right away.
